---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- CROCHET TIP-1: The rounds are worked without any transition (ie: like a spiral). You work in the round, without any stop between rounds, and there is a marker at the beginning of the round – you do not work any slip stitches at the end of round. CROCHET TOGETHER-1: WORK 4 DOUBLE CROCHETS TOGETHER TO 1 SOUBLE CROCHET AS FOLLOWS: * Make 1 yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, get yarn, make 1 yarn over and pull yarn through the 2 first loops on hook *, repeat from *-* 3 more times, make 1 yarn over and pull yarn through all 5 loops on hook (= 3 double crochets decreased). CROCHET TOGETHER-2: WORK 2 SINGLE CROCHETS TOGETHER INTO 1 SINGLE CROCHET AS FOLLOWS: * Insert hook in next stitch, get yarn *, repeat from *-* one more time, make a yarn over and pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook = 1 single crochet decreased. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- ALPACA - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Piece is worked in the round from top of head and down, then cast on for body and work downwards to the legs. Then fill the alpaca with some cotton wool and sew together under stomach, the work top of head to together while working the ears. HEAD/BODY: Work 19 chain stitches on hook size 4 mm = US 6 with the color of alpaca. ROUND 1: Work this row into a ring by working 2 single crochets in first chain stitch, then work 1 single crochet in every chain stitch = 20 single crochets on round. Insert a marker at beginning of round. ROUND 2: Work 1 single crochet in each stitch – read CROCHET TIP-1 in explanation above ROUND 3: Work 1 single crochet in each of the next 3 stitches, 1 half double crochet in next stitch, 2 double crochets and 1 treble crochet in next stitch, 1 treble crochet and 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 half double crochet in next stitch, then work 1 single crochet in each of the next 13 stitches - 4 stitches have been increased for nose = 24 stitches on round. ROUNDS 4 and 5: Work 1 single crochet in each stitch. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! ROUND 6: Work 1 single crochets in the first 4 stitches, work the next 4 stitches together into 1 stitch - read CROCHET TOGETHER-1 in explanation above, work the next 4 stitches together into 1 stitch - read CROCHET TOGETHER-1 in explanation above, then work 1 single crochet in each of the next 12 stitches - 6 stitches have been decreased for nose = 18 stitches on round. ROUNDS 7 to 18: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. ROUNDS 19: Work 17 new chain stitches, turn piece and work back in these chain stitches as follows: In the 2nd stitch from hook work 2 single crochets, in the 3rd stitch from hook work 2 single crochets, in the 4th stitch from hook work 2 single crochets, this is the tail - 13 chain stitches remain. Work 1 single crochet in every chain stitch and then work 18 single crochets around the neck, then work single crochets towards the tail in same chain stitch row but on opposite side as follows: 1 single crochet in each of the 13 chain stitches towards the tail. The round begins and ends under the tail, and there are 44 stitches around the body. ROUND 20: Lift the tail so that the body can be worked in the round, work 1 single crochet in every stitch. ROUNDS 21 to 32: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch = 12 round in total for body. ROUND 33 AND ONWARDS: Now work the legs of the alpaca, begin mid back. FIRST LEG = RIGHT BACK LEG. ROUND 1: Work 1 single crochet in each of the next 9 stitches, work 9 chain stitches. ROUND 2: Work 1 single crochet in the first of the 9 single crochets, this is now a circle, and continue piece in the round with 1 single crochet in every single crochet and 1 single crochet in every chain stitch = 18 stitches. Insert a marker at beginning of round. ROUNDS 3 to 4: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. ROUND 5: Now work all stitches together 2 by 2 - read CROCHET TOGETHER-2 in explanation above = 9 single crochets on round. ROUNDS 6 to 12: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. Cut the yarn. Fold the circle flat together and sew hole together so that leg is flat and wide in the same direction as body. SECOND LEG = RIGHT FRONT LEG: Skip 4 stitches (= mid under stomach). ROUND 1: Work 1 single crochets in each of the front 9 stitches on the right side of body, and then work 9 chain stitches. ROUND 2: Work 1 single crochet in the first of the 9 single crochets, this is now a circle, and continue piece in the round with 1 single crochet in every single crochet and 1 single crochet in every chain stitch = 18 stitches. Insert a marker at beginning of round. ROUNDS 3 to 4: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. ROUND 5: Now work all stitches together 2 by 2 - read CROCHET TOGETHER-2 in explanation above = 9 single crochets on round. ROUNDS 6 to 12: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch Cut the yarn. Insert a marker at beginning of round. ROUNDS 3 to 4: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. ROUND 5: Now work all stitches together 2 by 2 - read CROCHET TOGETHER-2 in explanation above = 9 single crochets on round. ROUNDS 6 to 12: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch Cut the yarn. Fold the circle flat together and sew hole together so that leg is flat and wide in the same direction as body. FOURTH LEG = LEFT BACK LEG: Skip 4 stitches (= mid under stomach). ROUND 1: Work 1 single crochets in the last 9 stitches at the back on the left side of body, and then work 9 chain stitches. ROUND 2: Work 1 single crochet in the first of the 9 single crochets, this is now a circle, and continue piece in the round with 1 single crochet in every single crochet and 1 single crochet in every chain stitch = 18 stitches. Insert a marker at beginning of round. ROUNDS 3 to 4: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. ROUND 5: Now work all stitches together 2 by 2 - read CROCHET TOGETHER-2 in explanation above = 9 single crochets on round. ROUNDS 6 to 12: Work 1 single crochet in every stitch. Cut the yarn. Fold the circle flat together and sew hole together so that leg is flat and wide in the same direction as body. ASSEMBLY: Sew the alpaca’s eyes, nose and mouth with a dark grey strand - see picture for placement and shape. Then fill the alpaca with some cotton wool and sew body together mid under stomach. Fill the head with some cotton wool. Fold the hole at the top of head flat together with face at the front. Work a last row where head is worked together and work one ear at the beginning and end as follows: Begin in the first stitch in the right side: In the same stitch work 4 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets, 4 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch = 1 ear. Then work hole at the top of head together as follows: Work single crochet through both layers of the flat circle, 1 stitch in every stitch to and with next to last stitch. In last stitch work the other ear as follows: 4 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets, 4 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch. Cut and fasten the yarn. Tie some hair at the top of head with double knots - or another color. BLANKET: Work blanket back and forth with single crochets - every row in its own color - leave approx. 10 cm = 4" thread for fringes in each end. Work 20 chain stitches with color 1, * switch to next color, turn piece, work 1 row double crochets with 1 stitch in every stitch, * Repeat from *-* until 10 rows have been worked. The blanket should be worked with an even number of stitches so that knots can be tied in each end. Tie 2 and 2 strands for fringes. Cut fringes to a length of approx. 1 cm = ⅜". HAT: The hat is worked in the round, top-down – read CROCHET TIP-1. Work 3 chain stitches with red and fasten into a ring with a slip stitch in the first chain stitch. Work 1 chain stitch, 6 single crochets around chain stitch ring = 7 stitches. Place a marker at beginning of round. Continue as follows: Round 1: work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, * 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 single crochet in the next stitch *, repeat from * - * to end of round = 10 single crochets. Round 2: work 1 single crochets in each single crochet. Round 3: work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, * 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 single crochet in the next 2 stitches*, repeat from * - * to end of round = 13 single crochets. Round 4: work as round 2. Round 5: work 1 single crochet in the first stitch, * 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 single crochet in the next 3 stitches *, repeat from * - * to end of round = 16 single crochets. Round 6 and 7: work as round 2. Work last round as follows: work 1 single crochet in the first 4 stitches. Now work an earflap as follows: work 8 chain stitches, in the 3rd chain stitch from hook, work 1 half treble crochet + 1 treble crochet, work 6 chain stitches. Continue with 1 single crochet in the next 8 stitches. Work another earflap as follows: work 8 chain stitches, in the 3rd chain stitch from hook, work 1 half double crochet + 1 double crochet, work 6 chain stitches. Work 1 single crochet in the next 4 stitches, 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet on the round. Cut and fasten the strand. Tassels: use leftover yarn in various colours. Gather 4 strands measuring approximately 5-6 cm = 2"-2⅜" in a bundle and tie to end of earflap. |

Hei Elise. Du skal hekle på de hver side av de 13 (av 17) nye luftmaskene samtidig som det hekles på de 18 maskene til halsen = 13+13+18 = 44 masker. Husk å løfte halen når du skal hekle rundt og rundt kroppen. mvh DROPS Design

Liebe Frau Hidskes, der Schwanz muss von der Vorderseite sein, so man wird ihn hier anheben, so wird er nicht innerhalb sondern wirklich ausserhalb vom Alpaka sein/bleiben. Viel Spaß beim häkeln!

Wie werden die Beine gehäkelt? Ich habe 9 fM und 9 LM und diese zum Kreis geschlossen. Ist das richtig? Ich erhalte dadurch 4 offene Beine nach innen. Zum Ende habe ich diese dann zusammengenäht als Bauchunterseite. Vielleicht haben Sie hierzu ein Video. Alles in allem möchte ich sagen das dies ein ganz knuffiger Spielgefährte geworden ist. Liebe Christine, ja genau, die je 9 fM sind diejenigen von der vorrigen Runde und die je 9 neue Luftmaschen sind innen, diese Luftmaschen sind dann unter dem Bauch zusammengenäht (2 by 2, dh die beiden Hinterbeinen zusammen und die beiden vorderbeinen zusammen). Viel Spaß beim häkeln!

Bonjour Francine, pour chaque patte, on a fait 9 mailles en l'air en plus des 9 ms pour crocheter les pattes en rond, vous devez ainsi avoir une petite ouverture sous le ventre au niveau de ces 4 x 9 mailles en l'air pour chacune des pattes. C'est à ce niveau que l'on va rembourrer et que l'on va ensuite fermer par une couture. Bon crochet!
