In clue #7 we will be working on 7 new rows – are you ready to start?
As usual, you will find videos to assist you at the bottom of the clue. But if you have anyway questions, you can leave them to us using the form at the bottom of the page.
Did you ran out of colour e in Clue#4? Don`t worry – you can use colour d instead.
STRIPES:
Cut the thread after each row, unless the next row is of the same colour. Fasten the threads in the side once finished.
ROW 41: beige (colour e)
ROW 42: ice blue (colour h)
ROW 43: cerise (colour f)
ROW 44: powder (colour a)
ROW 45: red (colour d)
ROW 46: coral (colour c)
ROW 47: red (colour d)
PATTERN:
We are using diagrams A.6a and A.6b in this clue. A.6a shows how the row begins. NOTE: The beginning of rows is drawn above each other in the same diagram even though they are worked alternately the right and left side of the shawl and not above each other.
COLOUR CHANGE:
When switching colours, work as follows: Work last stitch on row with the first colour, but wait with last yarn over and pull through, switch to next colour and work the last yarn over and pull through on the last stitch with this colour, then work next row.
If you are experienced you can follow the diagram under, but if you need more help to get started you can continue to read the clue below.
= | 3 chain stitches | |
= | From right side: 1 double crochet into back loop of stitch. From wrong side: 1 double crochet into front loop of stitch
= | 1 double crochet around chain stitch space
= | 1 treble crochet around chain stitch/chain stitch space
= | Work one bobble around the chain stitch space as follows: work 1 treble crochet, but wait with the last yarn over and pull through, work 3 double treble crochets around the same chain stitch space, but wait with the last yarn over and pull through on each of the double treble crochets, work 1 treble crochet around the same chain stitch space, but when making the last pull through, pull thread through all loops on hook
= | Work 1 chain stitch on beginning of row
= | Work 3 chain stitches on beginning of row
= | increase (with the same stitch shown in the chart) on each side of the marking threads on row with arrow
= | start here |
Here’s a more detailed description of how to start with Clue #7. We have marked where we are working in the diagram with red.
Continue as before – remember to read COLOUR CHANGE, and increase on row 41 as follows:
ARROW 11(= row 41): Increase 1 treble crochet on each side of the marking threads by working 1 treble crochet extra around the chain stitch space (= 24 stitches increased) = 384 stitches.
Work rows 42-43.
Work row 44 and increase as follows:
ARROW 12 (= row 44): Increase 1 treble crochet on each side of the marking threads by working 1 treble crochet extra around the chain stitch space (= 24 stitches increased) = 408 stitches.
Work the remaining rows in the diagram (meaning, until row 47).
The 7th clue is now finished the piece measures approx. 68 cm between the first chain stitch space and the middle of the last row worked when all 47 rows have been worked. We only have a couple of clues left - we are approaching the end. This is how the shawl looks when we are done with this clue!
And don't forget to send pictures of your progress on the shawl to our Gallery!

Väriä e oli materiaalilistassa 50 g, se loppui jo. Ajattelin käyttää sinapinkeltaista, sitä on vielä jäljellä yli 100 g. Riittääkö loput vielä tuleviin sinapinkeltaisiin raitoihin?
